Minor cuts

Room 2308 came down to the fron desk to tell us that there was a piece of wood sticking out from the bed frame and that his wife had hurt her foot on it. We sent maintenance to fix the problem. The guest was asked if they needed medical assistance they said no. She was o.k.

Today was a hot and busy day at the hotel. Our system is down and we're doing everything by hand. It sucks!

Room 2315 had a small cut on his finger, asked for a band aid and said that he had cut it with the edge of the glass jar that's in the room. House keeping was sent to the room and removed the decoration jar. He said he was fine and it was nothing really, just a little cut but he said he had two kids so it was a good idea to remove the jar.

Unhappy guests

Room 2306 called down the front desk at 8:30am to say that they had called down for a wake-up call @ 10:00pm last night and once before when they had arrived and were very tired. They never received any wake-up calls. They missed their tour and they are not please with us.

Painters or maintenance people were walking on roof at 6:00am. People below are on their honeymoon and they're very unhappy. Would like to be compansated at check out since they could not back to sleep after that.

Cell phone lady

Guest from room 2208 came down the front desk at 8:00am to tell us that her phone was used by the turndown maids last night. She said that she left her cell phone on her night stand when they went out to dinner and by the time she came back there was an outgoing call on her phone at 7:47pm. She then said that after that call was made there were 10 missed calls. She called them back and asked why they called? The person on the other line said, you called me I'm just returning your call. The guest was upset...and wanted a discount.
*I'm sure that our maids want to loose their job for one miserable phone call on this ladys cell phone, when they can use their own cell or the room phone.

Hello My Lovelies!

This blog is being created to take a trip and reminisce through the colorful entries that are being input in a hotel log book. The hotel business is leading me to share some of my more "interesting" experiences a peroson could have in this whole hospitality & hotel industry. I asked myself, why not write about my amusing run ins as a GM in this hotel. In fact, I think I will add the stories of all current workers. We could all share a little of what's going on in this Beautiful Island Resort. Anyhow...blah blah blah
